The NS v. We leveraged the advantage of the huge motor of the NS v. The sleeve system: This is something ALL new that nobody has done before. Every NS v. We offer two thicknesses of aluminum and two thicknesses of steel sleeves; the aluminum sleeves are for decreased inductance and the steel are for maximum BL. This sleeve CAN be removed and changed later — as long as the motor is shipped into us to be demagnetized. We can use NS v.It is the most direct replacement for the world famous Z v.
Due to numerous advancements in our design process the U Series is able to deliver performance on-par with the Z v. Just as with the Z v. The U series motor also features a 0. The voice coil is a 2. The U series also features newly tooled cast aluminum vent rings in between the frame and top plate to effectively exchange air at a high velocity over the voice coil beneath the spider landing.
The U series features an all-new cast aluminum frame series to the Sundown line which allows for taller cones than the older frames used on the Z v. The taller cones provide enhanced coil stability and increased mechanical excursion capability.
We also tooled matching cast-aluminum surround clamps for the U series to ensure durability in the most demanding situations. The new cone bodies also feature an indentation for the same wide-flange, ultra-strong dust caps as our new platform subwoofers. If you are looking for a woofer that sounds similar to the SA series but handles significantly more power… the U series is exactly what you need. It has been designed to live up to the reputation earned by our Z v.

Posted March 28, Awesome thanks a lot, i will give this a shot.Forgot your password? I recently cut out nearly the entire back-dash area behind the back seats and below the back window turning the car into a pseudo-hatchback as it is more or less a project car at this point. My first question is what sort of enclosure would be recommended for this particular install. I have heard that a smaller than usually recommended enclosure is best if or when sending a sub more than its rated RMS power and am fully aware of the dangers of exceeding this subs mechanical ability.
I just want to have the power necessary to push it to its limits and would like for it to sound as good as possible while doing so. I would do 4. I was going to use one of these but sold it to use 2 X 12s.
I always get a lot more room and no trunk rattle. Thanks man! The length of the port determines the tuning frequency and you will have to play with the dimensions to make the cubes and tuning work right together. Trust me actually sealing off the trunk makes a huge difference.
If you seal the trunk off or even just make side panels to block air flow like what I did. It makes it so much better. Hmm interesting Frogcase on here is in Ohio. Me and him work together. I design and he builds them for people in Ohio. Maybe he is around you. I'll tell him to check out this thread. He has great prices!!
That would be greatly appreciated: I would be more than willing to work with you both but out of curiosity where at in Ohio? I'm from the Cleveland area myself.Sundown Audio. E Series. SD Series. SA Series. X Series. U Series. Zv5 Series. Nightshade Series.
The E series woofer was designed to eliminate our typical frustrations with entry level woofers; low thermal capacity, limited mechanical capacity and durability, and low motor force. The E series woofer utilize a high quality 2" copper voice coil wound The Sundown E Series was made to be the highest performance subwoofer line in it's price category. Low end extension was the number one design goal as you can see the E8 can extend to under 30 Hz in a vented enclosure!Mercedes benz s class 2021 release date

Some really smart people that know a lot about bandpass enclosures not me will tell you to ignore the ratio. Amp: TMXad - 4 channel watt. Fairing Front 6. I've never build a box like this before, resonanse in the sealed section?
What freq should i aim for? I'm pretty sure their is a big difference in a ratio to a ratio. Bandwidth and peak are the first things that come to mind I think? A good way for first timers or even seasoned vets is build the enclosure without the ported side loading wall.
Find the res freq on the sealed side. Hopefully around hz Then when u find that tune your ported side to your seal side res freq For port area a good place to start is half of the cone area. So for a single zv4 12" port area in a 4th u could start with 60". You can post now and register later. If you have an account, sign in now to post with your account. Paste as plain text instead.
